Seema Singh buys luxury Rs 185 crore apartment in Mumbai's Worli

Seema Singh, daughter-in-law of the Alkem Laboratories promoter family, has purchased a luxury apartment in Mumbai's Worli for Rs 185 crore. The 14,000-square-foot property is located on the 30th floor of the Lodha Sea Face project. This deal is the second-largest luxury apartment transaction in Mumbai for 2024. Singh financed part of the purchase by selling a small stake in Alkem Laboratories, raising Rs 177 crore. Singh benefited from a Maharashtra government initiative that offers a 1% stamp duty concession for female homebuyers, allowing her to save on registration costs. Mumbai remains a leading market for high-value real estate transactions.
