Seattle-Tacoma airport expects over 2 million holiday travelers through New Year's
Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) expects to serve over 2 million passengers during the holiday season through New Year's Day. The busiest days are anticipated to be December 19 and 20, with 164,000 and 172,000 passengers, respectively. The airport has already handled more than 330,000 passengers in just two days. However, congestion and overcrowding at the airport entrance are significant issues, with many drivers idling while waiting to pick up passengers. To address these problems, SEA is working with state patrol on parking enforcement and considering increasing fines for rule violations. The airport is also implementing measures to manage congestion in areas under its control.
