Scaloni dislikes the Finalissima's World Cup timing

Lionel Scaloni is reportedly unhappy about the timing of the Finalissima match between Argentina and Spain. The match, pitting the champions of South America against Europe, is scheduled for March 2026, just three months before the World Cup. Scaloni preferred it to be played earlier. Journalist Gaston Edul explained Scaloni's frustration stems from using valuable preparation dates for friendlies instead of the Finalissima, which he feels is poorly timed so close to the World Cup.
