Sandi Toksvig launches woodland restoration project to aid recovery from pneumonia

Sandi Toksvig is launching a project called Sandi’s Great British Woodland Restoration, where she will buy and restore a neglected woodland. This initiative is part of her recovery from bronchial pneumonia, which left her struggling to walk. Toksvig credits her time in the woods with aiding her recovery. She started with short visits and gradually increased her time there, eventually using tools like a chainsaw. The project has cost over £30,000, and she continues to work with local volunteers. The three-part series will document her challenges, including dealing with fly-tippers and managing the woodland. It will air on Channel 4 on Thursday at 8pm and will also be available on My4.
