Sam Carrick may miss first game for Rangers
Sam Carrick might not play for the Rangers on Tuesday against the Kings. He did not travel with the team for personal reasons. This would be the first game Carrick has missed this year. The Rangers confirmed that "everything is good" with Carrick, but it is unclear if he will join the team in time for the game. The player has been an important part of the team, contributing 18 points this season. Brett Berard will likely fill in for Carrick on the fourth line. Berard was a healthy scratch in the last game but has now skated with Matt Rempe and Juuso Parssinen in practice. The Rangers also recalled Nicolas Aube-Kubel from Hartford for additional support. On defense, Urho Vaakanainen may sit out again, while Carson Soucy is expected to continue playing with Adam Fox. Calvin de Haan is set to be a healthy scratch for the ninth straight game. The Rangers have performed well on the road recently, with a record of 4-1-1 in their last six away games. However, their home performance has struggled, with a record of 1-4-1 in their last six games at Madison Square Garden.
