Ryanair signs five-year Google Cloud deal for AI-powered operations

Ryanair has signed a five-year partnership with Google Cloud to deploy Gemini AI tools and DeepMind models across its operations, focusing on crew scheduling and operational decisions. The deal will roll out Google Workspace and Cloud services to 35,000 employees, supporting Ryanair's goal of carrying 300 million passengers annually by 2034. CEO Eddie Wilson cited the need for infrastructure resilience and efficiency, adding to the airline's existing use of Amazon Web Services. Ryanair will use Gemini Enterprise to build custom AI agents for automating decisions and reducing disruption, alongside DeepMind models like AlphaEvolve and WeatherNext for fleet and maintenance scheduling.
