Russian frigate fires flares at Danish military helicopter

A Russian frigate fired flare rockets at a Danish military helicopter during a routine photography mission over international waters near Gedser, Denmark, on Monday. No injuries or damage were reported. The Danish Defense Ministry stated two flares were launched, with one passing within close range of the helicopter. Defense Minister Jeppe Bruus called the incident serious, saying Russia has moved the boundaries of acceptable risk-taking.
