Roshni Nadar becomes India's richest woman through inheritance
Roshni Nadar Malhotra has become India's richest woman after inheriting a 47% stake in HCL Corporation and Vama Sundari Investments from her father, Shiv Nadar. This transfer positions her as the third-richest individual in India. Previously, Shiv Nadar held 51% of both companies. The stake transfer, formalized through gift deeds, aims to ensure stable leadership within the HCL Group. Roshni now has significant control over HCL's operations and philanthropic efforts. Roshni Nadar has been chairperson of HCL Technologies since July 2020. She also leads the Shiv Nadar Foundation, focusing on education and social development. Her new majority ownership enhances her influence in the company.
