Rochdale grooming gang victim dies by suicide after mental health struggles

A victim of the Rochdale grooming gang, Charlotte Tetley, died by suicide after a history of mental health struggles. Tetley deliberately sat on train tracks in Macclesfield, leading to her fatal injury. She had a complex mental health history, including PTSD and substance misuse, and had expressed suicidal thoughts. Concerns were raised about her care, including her discharge from hospital despite suicidal ideation and police and ambulance services declining to deploy resources when she was a high-risk missing person.
