nypost.com

Rivian is recalling 24,214 US electric vehicles due to a software glitch in its driver assistance system that can increase crash risk. The defect affects 2025 R1S and R1T models, with an estimated 100% of these vehicles having the issue. The system may fail to identify lead vehicles, leading to potential collisions. Rivian is aware of one low-speed crash in May related to the glitch. An over-the-air software update is available to fix the problem free of charge.
