Rimowa launches luxury trumpet case for traveling musicians

Rimowa, a well-known German luggage brand, has teamed up with Gewa, a manufacturer of musical instruments, to create a special trumpet case. The new product, called the Rimowa x Gewa Trumpet Case Silver, is aimed at stylish musicians who travel with their instruments. It was announced in late February 2025 and is available online and in select stores. The partnership blends two iconic German brands. Rimowa is known for its luxury luggage, while Gewa has a long history in crafting musical instruments. This collaboration brings together Rimowa's design expertise and Gewa's skill in creating instrument cases. The trumpet case is significant as Gewa celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. This is not the first time Rimowa and Gewa have worked together. In 2023, they launched the Rimowa x Gewa Violin Hard Case. Emelie De Vitis, Rimowa's senior vice-president, emphasized the importance of supporting artists and enhancing the travel experience for musicians. The trumpet case features a sleek design made from anodized aluminium, complete with a leather handle and a crossbody strap for easy carrying. Inside, it holds two trumpets securely with premium materials and includes features like TSA-approved locks. It also comes with a leather pouch for mouthpieces and protective dust bags. Rimowa is famous for its durable, high-quality products and has a loyal following among celebrities. The new trumpet case is expected to gain similar popularity as the earlier violin case. To promote the launch, Rimowa released a short film directed by Lila Avilés, highlighting an all-female wind instrument group from Oaxaca, Mexico. Rimowa continues to innovate and expand its product line, having introduced various items like a vanity case and partnerships with other luxury brands. Their commitment to quality and design reflects their ongoing dedication to modern lifestyles.
