Revolut to eliminate weekend currency exchange fees for premium customers starting April 22
Revolut is changing its currency exchange fees starting April 22. Customers on Premium, Metal, and Ultra plans will no longer pay extra fees for weekend exchanges. Plus plan customers will see a reduced fee, while Standard plan customers will continue to pay 1%. Currently, all plans incur a 1% fee for weekend exchanges. The new structure aims to benefit travelers by lowering costs during peak travel times. Weekday fees will still apply for Standard and Plus plans if monthly exchange limits are exceeded. In related news, Chase has reduced its standard Saver account interest rate from 3.25% to 3% following a cut by the Bank of England. Other banks, including HSBC and NatWest, are also lowering savings rates.
