Ranchi city enforces traffic restrictions for Sarhul festival
Ranchi city has announced new traffic plans for the Sarhul festival on Monday. These changes aim to manage the large crowds expected at religious events and processions, known as sobha yatras. The routes for these processions have been specified. Heavy vehicles will not be allowed in the city from 6 am to 12:30 pm. Authorities advise these vehicles to use the ring road instead. Traffic restrictions will also impact various main roads and key areas where vehicles will be prohibited from moving. Private and public vehicles will face restrictions on several routes, including from SSP Residence to Sahid Chowk and from Upper Bazaar to Sahid Chowk. Specific areas will only allow limited access, particularly around Sujata Chowk and Munda Chowk, which are crucial for the festivities.
