Rajasthan Royals struggle with low total against KKR

Rajasthan Royals faced a tough match against Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday in Guwahati. The team struggled with their batting, especially in the middle order. They managed to score 54 runs during the PowerPlay but ended with a total of only 151 runs for 9 wickets in their 20 overs. Dhruv Jurel was the standout performer for the Royals, scoring 33 runs off 25 balls. Unfortunately, he did not get enough support from his teammates. This total is the lowest scored by any team in the 2025 IPL season so far. Varun Chakaravarthy was exceptional with the ball for KKR, taking two wickets and conceding just 17 runs. The Royals have a history of successfully defending lower totals. Their lowest defended total is 144 runs, achieved against KKR in 2013 and again against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2022. If Rajasthan can defend their current target of 151, it would mark the fourth-lowest total defended in the team's history.
