His performance in a U19 Test against Australia caught the team's attention. Team captain Sanju Samson explained that the decision was based on Suryavanshi's impressive highlights and his ability to score quickly. The Royals aim to nurture young talent, following a history of developing players like Yashasvi Jaiswal. Suryavanshi, from Bihar, made his Ranji Trophy debut at just 12 years old.
