Quaker Oats elevates pancake mix recall to Class I due to serious health risks

independent.co.uk

Quaker Oats has upgraded its recall of Pearl Milling Company Original Pancake & Waffle Mix to a Class I level due to the risk of serious health issues, including death. The recall was initiated last month over undeclared milk in the product. The pancake mix, sold in two-pound boxes, was available in 11 states and has a best-by date of September 13, 2025. Consumers with milk allergies are at risk of severe reactions if they consume the product. No allergic reactions have been reported. This recall follows several other Class I recalls this month, including products from Cal Yee Farms and Frito-Lay, also due to undeclared allergens.
