Poll shows 35% of Irish voters feel their standard of living has worsened
A recent exit poll conducted by Ipsos B&A found that 35% of respondents believe their standard of living has worsened over the past year, while only 13% reported an improvement. The poll included 5,018 participants from 253 polling stations. The survey revealed that more women (39%) than men (30%) felt their living standards had declined. Younger age groups were more likely to report a decrease, with 40% of 18-24 year-olds and 43% of 25-34 year-olds expressing this view. In contrast, older respondents were less likely to report a decline, with 31% of those aged 50-64 and 24% of those aged 65 and older saying their standard of living had fallen. The results were consistent across different regions of Ireland.
