Police shoot and arrest drug dealer after knife attack in Kalaburagi

Kalaburagi police shot and arrested a drug dealer on Saturday near Tavargera Cross along Bidar Road. The suspect, Supreet Sheetal Kumar Navale, 32, attacked officers with a knife during a vehicle inspection. Police were checking for drug activity when Navale attempted to flee. Officers found drugs in his vehicle. Inspector Raghavendra shot Navale in the leg to subdue him. A constable was injured during the incident and both were taken to a trauma care center. The police have opened a case regarding the event.
