Police in Vehari receive helmets for safety initiative

In Vehari, a Road Safety Campaign has been launched to promote safe riding among police personnel. On the instructions of District Police Officer Farooq Ahmed Kamyana, 170 helmets were distributed to motorcycle-riding police officers. The ceremony was attended by DSP Traffic Abdul Majeed and Muhammad Hasib Sarwar, the Chief Executive of Suzuki Motors. They both spoke about the importance of road safety and how helmets can save lives. DSP Majeed highlighted that police officers should lead by example by following traffic laws. He noted that officers not wearing helmets cannot fairly enforce the rules among the public. Majeed has previously issued fines to officers who ignored helmet use. The campaign aims to increase public awareness of traffic laws in order to reduce accidents. Sarwar also reiterated the commitment of Suzuki Motors to support public safety initiatives. During the event, traffic officials received information on the importance of helmet use for their safety and the safety of others. The police's efforts have been well-received by the community, with many expressing hope that the campaign will encourage better adherence to traffic laws.
