Philippines paid for Duterte's flight to The Hague

The Office of the President of the Philippines confirmed it paid for the chartered plane that transported former President Rodrigo Duterte to The Hague. Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla stated the plane was leased for the president's use. Duterte was flown to the Netherlands on a Gulfstream G550 jet after being arrested under an International Criminal Court warrant for alleged crimes against humanity. The flight took off from Villamor Air Base on Tuesday evening. Speculation about the plane's ownership arose online, but Rep. Elizaldy Co denied claims that he owned the jet used for Duterte's transport.
