Philippines may share drug war evidence with ICC
The Philippine House of Representatives' quad committee may share evidence from its investigation into the previous administration's drug war if the International Criminal Court (ICC) issues a subpoena. This follows the country's withdrawal from the Rome Statute in 2018. Rep. Raul Angelo Bongalon stated that the government would consider cooperating with the ICC, despite the withdrawal. He noted that the ICC may still have jurisdiction over cases from before the withdrawal. Duterte was arrested on March 11, 2025, based on an ICC order for alleged crimes against humanity. He has since left for the Netherlands, where the ICC is located.
