Philippine Embassy aids Duterte after ICC arrest

The Philippine Embassy in The Hague has provided consular assistance to former President Rodrigo Duterte after his arrest by the International Criminal Court on charges of crimes against humanity. The embassy delivered winter clothing and care packages for him. Duterte's escorts received two-day visas from Dutch immigration authorities, while former Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea was granted a 15-day visa to visit him. Medical staff from the ICC are monitoring Duterte's health. Duterte arrived at the Scheveningen Prison in The Hague and is expected to appear before an ICC judge soon. He stated in a video that he is "okay" following his flight from Dubai.
