Philippine Coast Guard halts sea travel in northern Quezon due to rough seas
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) suspended sea travel in northern Quezon province on December 9 due to rough sea conditions. This decision follows a weather forecast indicating strong winds from the northeast monsoon affecting the area. All trips for vessels and small crafts weighing 250 gross tons or less are halted in specific regions, including the Polillo Islands. The suspension will remain until weather conditions improve, as determined by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration. Additionally, local governments in Real and Infanta have canceled classes at all levels due to heavy rains.
