Pharah and Genji receive unexpected buffs in Overwatch 2
Overwatch 2 players are reacting sharply to recent changes in the game. The mid-Season 15 update, released on March 18, included adjustments to several hero Perks. Many players were surprised to see buffs for powerful Damage heroes like Pharah and Genji. Pharah received a significant increase to her Helix Shields Perk. This change allows her to convert up to 125 health into shields, making her tougher to defeat while airborne. Players have found her flying abilities frustrating, and the new buffs seem to complicate matters even more. Meanwhile, Genji also got an upgrade. His Meditation Perk now heals him at a rate of 35 health per second, up from 25. Additionally, the timing for his Blade Twisting has been adjusted, making it easier to combine attacks. While players who main these heroes may feel excited, others find it difficult to compete against them. Some community members expressed their confusion on platforms like Reddit. They questioned why these characters were buffed when they are already considered strong. Players also noted that other heroes, such as Ana and Tracer, did not receive nerfs, leaving the balance of the game in doubt. Fans are now keen to see how the developers address these changes in the upcoming Season 16 update, expected on April 22.
