Patapon 1+2 Replay revives cult rhythm games

Patapon 1+2 Replay, a remastered collection of two cult-favorite PSP rhythm strategy games, has been released, bringing the dormant franchise to multiple platforms. The collection features the original games' unique beat-command gameplay where players guide Patapon creatures by inputting rhythmic sequences to march, attack, and defend. Patapon 2 offers refinements and more content, including a Hero unit and a longer campaign. While the remaster boasts crisp visuals and excellent sound, some repetitive gameplay elements and blurry FMV sequences remain from the original handheld design.
