Paramount Plus launches new pricing tiers in the UK and Ireland

Paramount Plus has introduced a new pricing structure in the UK and Ireland, effective November 20. Subscribers can now choose from three tiers: a Basic plan with ads for €5.99, a Standard plan without ads for €8.99, and a Premium plan for €11.99, which offers 4K streaming. The Premium plan allows streaming on up to four devices simultaneously, an increase from the previous limit of two. An introductory offer reduces the Premium plan's monthly price from £10.99 to £5.99, with annual subscriptions also available at a discounted rate. This change follows a trend among streaming services to offer ad-supported tiers. However, Paramount Plus's content library remains smaller compared to competitors, raising questions about its value for potential subscribers.
