Otter introduces AI agents for live meeting assistance

Otter has introduced new AI agents designed to assist during business meetings. One of these agents, the Meeting Agent, can answer voice questions live during Zoom calls. The Meeting Agent acts like a personal assistant, waiting to respond when spoken to. It can take notes, set up follow-up meetings, and help with various tasks. In the future, Otter plans to make this agent capable of participating proactively in discussions by contributing useful information when needed. Concerns have been raised about the risk of the AI accidentally revealing confidential information during calls. To address this, Otter will implement access controls, ensuring the agent only shares non-sensitive information when external participants are present. Another new agent, the Sales Agent, will not speak in meetings but will assist human sales staff by providing real-time coaching. It listens in on calls and gives advice on how to respond to customer questions or objections. The third agent, known as the SDR Agent, is designed to conduct live product demos without any human involvement. Customers can join a meeting with this agent, which can answer questions and showcase product features in real time. Otter's Meeting Agent will soon be available to all users, while the Sales Agent will be accessible to enterprise plan customers. The SDR Agent is available upon request. These additions highlight the ongoing evolution of AI technology in the workplace.
