Orange County high schools excelled in sports on March 24

On March 24, several high school games took place in Orange County. Here are the highlights. In baseball, the Katella team won two matches. They defeated Whittier 10-6 and Marshall 10-2. El Dorado also had a strong showing, beating Simi Valley 5-0. Buena Park won against Whittier with a score of 7-3. In a nonleague game, Kennedy bested Barlow from Oregon 11-4, while Foothill triumphed over Lincoln, also from Oregon, with a score of 10-1. Whittier Christian had an impressive victory, shutting out Excelsior Charter 24-0. In boys' lacrosse, St. Margaret's dominated Northwood, winning 18-3. The girls' lacrosse team from St. Margaret's also performed well, defeating Portola 19-6. In girls' beach volleyball, Costa Mesa played Ocean View and won 4-1. In the Crestview League, Yorba Linda narrowly defeated Esperanza 3-2. These games show the competitive spirit of Orange County high school sports.
