OnePlus 13 to feature dual IP68 and IP69 ratings for global launch

OnePlus has confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 13 will feature dual IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust protection in its global launch. This upgrade allows the phone to withstand immersion in water and high-pressure jets. Previously, OnePlus phones had inconsistent waterproof ratings across regions. The OnePlus 13 will be the first model available outside of Asia with the IP69 rating, enhancing its durability compared to competitors like the iPhone 16 Pro Max and Galaxy S24 Ultra. The global launch is set for January 8, 2025. This announcement marks a significant improvement over the previous model, which lacked these high-level protection ratings.
