Omar Abdullah defends Muslims' understanding in assembly debate

Sunil Sharma, on the other hand, accused the ruling National Conference of promoting the "two-nation theory." He argued against limiting land ownership to residents of Jammu and Kashmir, stating that Indians from other states should have the right to buy land there as well. Sharma emphasized that the Constitution of India should apply equally in Jammu and Kashmir, despite its Muslim majority. He asserted that religion should not determine legal rights or the implementation of laws in the region.
