Halton police are investigating the death of a 43-year-old man as a homicide. Baljeet “Bally” Toki was found dead inside his business, Montagio Custom Tailoring, in Oakville on March 22. The police initially considered his death suspicious but changed the status of the investigation on Tuesday. Toki’s body was discovered at about 5:30 p.m. on Lakeshore Road East. The police had earlier responded to reports of a deceased man in the area near Navy Street. Now, they have confirmed it is a homicide case. Authorities say there is no ongoing threat to public safety. Police are actively seeking witnesses and are canvassing the area. They are looking for video footage from locations around Trafalgar Road and Navy Street, and they are particularly interested in dashcam footage from drivers on Trafalgar Road.
