Nunavut boy's remains identified

Human remains found in Kugluktuk, Nunavut, have been identified as missing 11-year-old Jonas Klengenberg. Klengenberg was last seen on August 1, 2024. The remains were discovered last month approximately 10 kilometers outside of Kugluktuk and positively identified by Nunavut RCMP. The official search for Jonas Klengenberg was called off on August 9, 2024, after extensive land and water searches proved unsuccessful. His family had previously speculated he may have drowned.
