NPDC approves Iglesia ni Cristo peace rally at Quirino Grandstand in Manila
The National Parks Development Committee has approved the Iglesia ni Cristo's request to hold its peace rally on January 13 at Quirino Grandstand instead of Liwasang Bonifacio. This change aims to accommodate a larger crowd, preventing potential chaos in Manila. The Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ, which had initially reserved the venue, agreed to adjust its schedule to allow the INC event. Coordination meetings will be held to finalize logistical details for the rally. The INC expects hundreds of thousands of participants to support President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s stance against the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte. The Quirino Grandstand can hold up to 500,000 people, significantly more than Liwasang Bonifacio's capacity of 20,000.
