timesnownews.com

The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has updated UPI rules effective November 1, 2024. The transaction limit for UPI Lite has increased from Rs. 500 to Rs. 1,000, allowing users to make small payments without a PIN. Additionally, the maximum wallet balance for UPI Lite has risen from Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 5,000. A new auto top-up feature will automatically recharge users' wallets when the balance falls below a set limit, with a maximum of five recharges daily. Users can set their preferred top-up amount and cancel the auto top-up mandate at any time. The daily transaction limit remains unchanged at Rs. 4,000.
