Northampton girl uniquely named after Disney princess
A five-year-old girl from Northampton, named Snow-White Jennifer Morphy, is believed to be the only girl in the world with the name of the Disney princess. Her mother, Lisa Morphy, named her after the character and has no regrets, despite facing some challenges because of it. Lisa, 45, who already had three boys, was thrilled to learn she was having a daughter. One of her sons suggested the name Snow-White, and she found it perfect. Although some friends and family initially questioned the name, Lisa felt compelled to use it. She wanted her daughter to be a "little princess" in their home. Snow-White loves her name and often corrects people when they call her "Snow." Her mother enjoys hearing her proudly tell others that she is a princess. However, Lisa mentioned that airport check-ins can be tricky. Strangers sometimes turn around or whisper when they hear Snow-White’s name. The couple faced some worries from their parents about possible teasing because of the name, but Lisa remained strong in her choice. When they went to register her birth, the staff had to confirm that the name was not copyrighted by Disney, which it wasn't. Snow-White has a Disney-themed bedroom and enjoys activities like singing, dancing, and playing football. She has a playful personality and often gets her older brothers to carry her around the house. The family is excited to see the new Snow-White movie coming out soon. Despite the attention her name brings, they are proud of her unique identity and how she embraces it.
