North Korean troops resume fighting with Russia
North Korean troops have resumed fighting alongside Russian forces in the Kursk region, according to South Korea's National Intelligence Service. This follows a month-long pause after heavy losses reported last fall. The intelligence agency noted that additional North Korean troops, estimated between 1,000 and 3,000, may have been deployed recently. This comes after earlier reports indicated that around 11,000-12,000 North Korean soldiers had already been sent to the frontlines. Ukrainian officials reported significant casualties among North Korean troops, with at least 3,800 killed or wounded. The UK's Ministry of Defence stated that North Korean units had been withdrawn for rest before potentially being redeployed.
