A direct flight route between Pyongyang and Moscow will begin in late July, marking the first time such a route has been available. The flights are being established by Nordwind airline, according to the Russian state news agency Tass. This new air link comes amid strengthening ties between North Korea and Russia, particularly since the war in Ukraine. A direct train connection between the two capitals was also established earlier this summer. The eight-hour flights will initially operate once a month from each city.
