NJ man arrested for deadly hit-and-run of pedestrian
A 23-year-old man from New Jersey has been charged with dragging and killing a pedestrian in a hit-and-run incident last month. Dominic Allen, from Millstone Township, was accused of hitting 19-year-old Kyzair Robinson from Asbury Park and fleeing the scene. The incident occurred on February 11. Police received a 911 call reporting a man lying injured on the road in Neptune Township. Officers found Robinson, who later died from his injuries in a local hospital. Investigators identified Allen as the driver. They discovered he had been talking to Robinson moments before the accident. Robinson was reportedly clinging to the vehicle when Allen drove away, causing Robinson to fall under the car. Allen was arrested in Florida by the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force and was brought back to New Jersey. He now faces charges for second-degree vehicular homicide and for leaving the scene of the accident. He is being held at the Monmouth County jail while awaiting court proceedings. Authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward.
