New Zealand Defence Minister criticizes China's deployment of powerful ships in Tasman Sea

New Zealand's Defence Minister Judith Collins expressed frustration over China's recent deployment of a strike force in the Tasman Sea. The Chinese ships, described as having "enormous strike power," approached within 150 nautical miles of Sydney without prior notice to New Zealand. Collins criticized the Chinese Government for not informing New Zealand about the ships' movements. She noted that China had previously only provided 24 hours' notice before launching an intercontinental ballistic missile into the Pacific Ocean last year.
