New restaurant Kaldero to open in former Wagamama location in Dublin
A new restaurant called Kaldero will open on November 22nd in the former Wagamama location on South King Street. It will serve a mix of Filipino, Chinese, and Indian cuisine, focusing on shared dining with small plates and larger sharing options. Kaldero will feature a 110-seat dining area with an open kitchen and bar. It will employ 40 staff members, including 36 who previously worked at Wagamama, which closed seven weeks ago due to restructuring issues. The restaurant is part of Press Up Hospitality Group, which recently underwent management changes and a debt-for-equity swap with lender Cheyne Capital. The group has retained the South King Street and Blanchardstown locations but did not reach an agreement for the Dundrum site.
