New Mac malware hides, steals Chrome data

A new sophisticated malware, JSCoreRunner, may already be hiding on Macs, potentially operating undetected. The malware spreads via a fake PDF converter app downloaded from fileripple.com. It installs silently in the background, targeting Chrome profiles to redirect users to fraudulent search engines for data collection. Users are advised to download apps only from trusted sources like the App Store and to keep macOS updated to protect against such threats.
