A new cybersecurity lab will open in the Philippines, backed by PT&T Corp. and its partner Netlinkz Ltd. from Australia. They are investing millions of dollars to create this lab, called SecureLink Networks Inc. The lab aims to adapt and enhance Netlinkz's cybersecurity solution, known as Virtual Secured Network Plus (VSN+). VSN+ offers strong encryption and networking capabilities. It is designed to protect organizations from cyber threats, provide continuous monitoring, and allow for easy integration. This means businesses can expand securely without needing to invest heavily in infrastructure. James Tsiolis, CEO of Netlinkz and chairman of SecureLink, mentioned that they will set up the lab in Manila. He emphasized the need to localize the technology and engage local development firms. PT&T is also working with Philippine authorities to get the necessary licenses. PT&T president James Velasquez noted that more investments are planned to develop and bring these solutions to the Philippines. He stated that they hope to complete the lab by the end of the year, located at PT&T’s office in Makati. Velasquez described VSN+ as a significant response to rising cybersecurity threats. He pointed out the partnership between Australia and the Philippines aims to deliver secure, scalable solutions for both businesses and government agencies. Tsiolis added that their goal is to enhance the protection of digital infrastructure across Southeast Asia.
