NDA rejects Lalu's claim about Tejashwi's chief minister prospects
In Bihar, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leaders responded sharply to RJD chief Lalu Prasad's ambitions for his son, Tejashwi Yadav. Lalu claimed that nobody could prevent Tejashwi from becoming chief minister after the upcoming assembly elections. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha stated that Lalu himself is a major obstacle to his son's success. Sinha emphasized that people do not want to support the RJD, questioning their willingness to give land for jobs under the RJD family. JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar added that Tejashwi inherits issues from Lalu's past actions. RJD spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav argued that the decision about the next CM will be made by the people. He criticized NDA members for not focusing on important issues like public safety, health care, education, and jobs. Lalu spoke at an event in East Champaran, declaring that Tejashwi has strong public support. He urged RJD workers to prepare for the elections later this year. Meanwhile, Sinha dismissed any prospect of Tejashwi gaining power, while Neeraj mocked Lalu's leadership style, referring to a video of dancers at the event.
