Natal rain cancels Friday's São João festival shows

Heavy rainfall in Natal, Brazil, caused the cancellation of Friday's São João festival shows in the Zona Oeste district. The city announced the cancellations around 8 PM. The Fundação Capitania das Artes and the Municipal Culture Secretariat cited the severe weather as the reason for canceling the remaining performances. Some artists had already performed before the cancellation. The schedule for Saturday and Sunday will be reassessed daily. The festival, held in the Cidade da Esperança neighborhood, features free entry with a food donation. Saturday's lineup includes JN Explode and Edyr Vaqueiro, while Sunday will feature Arnaldinho and Yasmin Santos.
