NASA's satellite will locate lunar water resources
NASA launched the Lunar Trailblazer satellite from Florida on Wednesday. This mission aims to locate water on the moon, particularly in permanently shadowed craters at the poles, using a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. The Lunar Trailblazer will map the moon's surface to identify water's form and distribution. It will orbit at about 60 miles above the surface and conduct detailed imaging over several months. This satellite is part of a broader effort to understand lunar water, which could support future missions. It will use two instruments to measure surface temperature and detect water patterns, contributing to knowledge about the moon's water cycle.
