NASA invites stargazers to join Hubble Telescope Night Sky Challenge in 2025
NASA is launching a year-long stargazing challenge in 2025 to celebrate 35 years of the Hubble Space Telescope. Telescope owners are invited to observe night sky objects that Hubble has studied, using star charts for guidance. Each month, NASA will provide a list of targets for both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, with difficulty ratings from one to three. Participants can compare their observations with Hubble's images. The challenge is open to all, and no membership in The Astronomical League is required. NASA recommends using a telescope with a diameter of at least six inches for optimal viewing.
