Nannup locals helped stranded French travelers repair car

French backpackers, Melina Gitton and Florian Crepinior, were stranded in Nannup, Western Australia, for nearly a month after a car accident, but were aided by the local community. After hitting a kangaroo shortly after starting their road trip, the couple's car was damaged and they were left without a place to stay. Locals offered them shelter, support, and helped repair their vehicle. The stranded travelers spent three weeks with a local family and experienced the generosity of the small town, which included donations and assistance from a local mechanic.
