Nagpur gives free fly ash; bunds near full
Nagpur district will provide free fly ash from thermal power plants to entrepreneurs and businesses due to ash bunds nearing capacity. The Nagpur administration decided to offer free fly ash from Koradi and Khaparkheda plants, which are 90% full, to address environmental concerns and storage issues. Recipients will cover transportation costs, and government agencies using fly ash in projects will receive a financial incentive. Fly ash, a byproduct of power generation, can be used in construction, including brick making and road construction. The district aims to promote its use and ease pressure on ash storage while encouraging eco-friendly practices.
