OSAKA — Police in Osaka discovered the mutilated remains of a man in a plastic bag on March 19. The bag was found in shrubbery along a walking trail in Fukushima Ward. A passerby noticed the suspicious green bag and called the police for help. When officers arrived, they found internal organs and bones inside the bag. Authorities are currently trying to identify the man. They suspect that this may be a case of damaging and abandoning a corpse, and are also investigating the possibility of murder. The location is near the Dojima River and about 400 meters from JR Shin-Fukushima Station, surrounded by condominiums and high-rise buildings.
