Murder suspect Chad Dandan evades Winnipeg police, may flee

Winnipeg police are actively searching for a man wanted in connection with a murder from September 2024. They are asking the public for any information that could help locate him. The suspect, Chad Jason Dandan, is 24 years old and faces serious charges, including first-degree murder, kidnapping, and extortion. Police believe he may be driving a dark SUV and could be hiding in northern Manitoba. Dandan is the only suspect still wanted in the murder case of Zeyad Vifan Shammo, 22. Shammo's body was discovered in a home on Bristol Avenue on September 13, shortly after he was reportedly abducted. Two other men linked to the case, Sonny Balemba and Robert James Chaykowski, have already been arrested and are facing similar charges. Police describe Dandan as standing five feet six inches tall and weighing around 140 pounds. They warn that he may be armed and dangerous, urging the public not to approach him.
